John Parks
Having founded and then sold three separate health care companies over the last 30 years, John Parks is intimately familiar with daily operations and the intricacies of health care M&A.
John began his health care career in 1993 with the startup of a Medicare certified home health agency. That company, On Call Home Care, experienced rapid growth and was ultimately sold to Tenet Health System after just three years.
John also founded Diversified Med Services in 1993, which provided medical equipment and supplies to the home health and skilled nursing sectors. He remained the CEO of Diversified until it was acquired by Lincare in 2003.
In 1996, after the sale of On Call, John purchased the assets of Home Health First, which had been jointly owned by Baylor Health System, Visiting Nurse Association and Presbyterian Health System. John rebranded this all private-pay home care company as On Call Plus, and successfully operated it for the next nine years until its sale to Educare in 2005.
John’s unique knowledge and past experiences and successes make him uniquely qualified to guide other business owners as they contemplate next steps in their own businesses.
John has been married to his wife Kim for 37 years. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.
