After receiving an undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky, Coley moved to Chicago to pursue his MBA at Loyola University. It was there he developed an interest in mergers and acquisitions and the new de-regulated energy market.
Upon graduation from Loyola, Coley began his career with Commonwealth Energy Services back in Louisville; a small startup that specializes in energy consulting with large industrial accounts. After several successful years growing the business, he helped negotiate and transition the sale of the company to San Diego Gas and Electric.
For the past 11 years, Coley has been in the healthcare market working for Arthrex, a medical device manufacturer. As the sales manager for the largest region in the United States, the Mid-Atlantic Region, he managed a network of 7 distributors and over 70 sales associates. While at Arthrex, he maintained the highest margins in the company – growing at an average rate of 31%, while moving sales from under $2 million to over $40 million annually.
